Overweight & obesity in Australia

I think the number of overweight and obesity people in the world is increasing quickly. Recently metabolic syndrome is prevalent among a man in middle age. This is coursing serious health problems. The WHO says over one billion people in the world are overweight and 300 million of those are abase. This is serious problem.

Take Australia as an example. The number of normal BMI people is decreasing and overweight, obese BMI are increasing year by year. 60% of Australian males and 50% of females are overweight or obese. There are far more males than females in Australia. I think a major cause of become overweight or obesity is too little exercise. “Inactivity is one of the main reasons why two things of men and over one half of women in the 45 to 64 age group are overweight and obese,” said Gavin Terrell of Associate professor. They may even decrease a nation’s life expectancy. He also said “Being inactive increases the risk of obesity, chronic disease, heart disease, diabetes, come cancers, arthritis and depression.”

To improve the situation, we should exercise in order to no get these ill. Run, bicycle, swim, or do other exercise to 30 minutes, 3-5 times per week is immediately.
